Garlic Cheese Biscuits

  • 2 cups of Carbquik
  • 2/3 cup of water
  • 2 cups of shredded cheese, such as cheddar
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (or more, if you like)

Heat oven to 400F. Put the Carbquik in a mixer bowl and mix in the water on low speed until a dough forms and all water has been absorbed. Be careful not to add too much, as you want the dough to be pretty firm and chunky. Mix in the 2 cups of shredded cheese and the garlic powder. Place chunks of dough on a Pam-coated cookie sheet to make 15 biscuits (or so) and bake for 11-14 minutes, or until golden. I like to let the biscuits cool down a good bit before eating them, as I like the texture better.

    Variations:

I like to add sesame seeds for a nice extra flavor. I usually mix in a couple tablespoons right into the batter, but sometimes add them sprinkled on top.
